    Frequently asked questions

    Is the EXIF Viewer free?

Yes — the EXIF Viewer is completely free for everyone, with no account required. You can view GPS coordinates, camera details, and all metadata, and strip EXIF from photos entirely for free. A subscription is only needed for the geotagging tool (adding or editing GPS coordinates).

Can I cancel my subscription anytime?

Yes. You can cancel at any time directly from your account. There are no long-term contracts, no cancellation fees, and no lock-in. Your subscription stays active until the end of the current billing period.

    What counts as one photo?

Each photo you geotag, edit GPS on, or download counts as one photo toward your monthly quota. Viewing EXIF data in the EXIF Viewer is always free and does not count toward any limit.

    What photo formats are supported?

JPEG, PNG, HEIC, WebP, and TIFF. That covers photos from iPhones, Android phones, DSLRs, and mirrorless cameras. All processing runs in your browser — nothing is uploaded to any server.

Is it safe to upload my photos?

Your photos never leave your device. GeoTag.world processes images entirely in your browser using client-side JavaScript. No files are uploaded to any server, no image data is stored or transmitted.

Do unused photos roll over to the next month?

No — monthly photo quotas reset at the start of each billing cycle. If you regularly need more than your plan allows, upgrading to the next tier is the best option.
